Finding the perfect lens can be a real challenge. With so many options and so much information out there on the Internet, it can be hard to know where to start. So you asked, we delivered. Here are the 5 best e-mount lenses for the sony a6000. From zoom to prime, cheap to premium, it’s all here!

1. Sony SEL55210 E Mount APS-C 55-210 mm F4.5-6.3 Telephoto Zoom Lens

The variable focal length of 55-210mm means this lens is perfect for capturing details or small objects – Think flowers and wildlife. But it is also very capable of shooting landscapes or everyday views. While the aperture is restricted at F4.5-6, this lens boasts Optical Image Stabilisation which will help reduce camera shake and bag you those extra-sharp images on the first attempt. For less than £200, this lens is an absolute steal.

2. Sony SEL35F18 E Mount APS-C 35 mm F1.8 Prime Lens

The next Sony E-mount lens we recommend is the Sony 35 mm F1.8 Prime Lens. Being a prime lens, it offers razor sharp images and can have a very shallow depth of field at F1.8. This offers the chance to really hone in on minute details in your photos, perhaps giving them a dreamy feel. The 35mm focal length is great for landscape and travel photography and it costs a very reasonable £309.

3. Sony SEL18200LE E Mount – APS-C 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 Telephoto Zoom Lens

The Sony 18-200mm is a telephoto zoom lens with 11x magnification range. The maximum aperture of F3.5 allows for fairly shallow depth of field, although not as shallow as some of the other lenses on this list. This lens is currently £519 and Amazon are offering a £30 voucher too.

The Sony E PZ 18-105mm lens is an excellent all-rounder. The large zoom range allows you to take both stunning landscapes and detailed portraits. The lens also has built in Optical SteadyShot Image Stabilisation The only downside is that the maximum aperture is F4. Nevertheless, this lens is highly recommended by popular Youtube channel Cody and Victoria – find out more here.

5. Sony SEL E Mount 50F14Z Zeiss Planar T FE 50 mm 1.4 ZA Lens

At £1299 this is of course not the cheapest lens available, but it might be the best. A 50mm focal length makes this camera ideal for both portrait and everyday shots. While not as short of a focal length as would be desired for a full-on landscape lense, this lens can still take captivating landscape images, albeit a little zoomed in. The 1.4f maximum aperture allows for incredibly shallow depth of field and the bokeh on this lens really is premium quality. To make the deal even sweeter, Amazon are offering a £70 voucher for this lens right now when purchasing!
